Something Different...
3/25:
I picked up a used motorcycle frame in February. I stripped it down and was planning to make an electric motorcycle to run at Bonneville Salt Flats. Well, as it turns out, the current land speed record for an electric motorcycle is a little over 283 MPH. So I decided to try something that has never been done. I'm attempting to build an electric motorcycle that will recharge itself. I am not going to go into details of the build yet, but I'll keep updating the page with pictures as I go.
5/25:
We have built the frame and installed a 60 volt/1000 watt motor and 6 batteries in the hardtail frame. We are going through the wiring now and we are getting closer to test-drive status. We have also filed for a patent. The entire concept and project are now officially "patent pending".
6/25:
We have ignition, power, and gauges. The throttle is not turning the motor yet (still troubleshooting that). The front brake is being bled and it is functional. New tires, a makeshift seat, and new floorboards.
